Aftab Alam
Right-arm fast bowler Aftab Alam tasted his first success for Afghanistan in 2005 when he took 3-18 against Qatar in the Asian Cricket Council Under-15 Cup. Since then, Alam has represented his country at under-19 and senior level, making his one-day international debut in February 2010 against Canada. In his first five ODIs Alam took six wickets, including 2-30 against Zimbabwe in mid-2014. He then impressed on the World Cup warm-up tour of Australia and New Zealand, snaring 4-41 against the Australian Capital Territory team.
He was his team’s leading wicket taker in the 2010 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup.
